In the ongoing third and last ODI between Australia and South Africa Women, Aussie leg-spinner Alana King hit the stumps with the bat accident. Masabata Klass, the South Africa pacer bowled a beamer. Despite losing her balance, King managed to hit the ball for a six. However, on her way down as she was losing balance, she hit the stumps.
However, as against the old rules, the two-time World Cup winner wasn't given out. In fact, the next ball she faced was a free hit and hit a six. It all happened in the 48th over of the Aussie innings. Notably, as per the old rules, batters used to be given out. Former Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara got out pretty much the same way during an ODI in 2009.
