Star Afghanistan spin allrounder Rashid Khan made it to the social media headlines for his iconic dance with former Indian cricketer and now, the commentator, Irfan Pathan. Rashid and Pathan danced together at the moment when the Afghan players were celebrating their historic 8-wicket win over Pakistan with a victory lap in the MA Chidambaram Stadium of Chennai.

It all happened when Afghanistan’s victory lap came near the commentators, Irfan Pathan and Jatin Sapru; the lap was being led by none other than the Afghan star Rashid Khan; as Rashid approached Irfan Pathan, the latter started dancing with Rashid followed by a heartfelt hug between both the stars.

The video of this cherishing moment is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on the X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking of the action of the match between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the latter comfortably chased down the target of 283 runs in 49 overs, scoring 286 runs for the loss of 2 wickets and won the match by a massive margin of 8 wickets. This win has also kept the Afghan hopes alive in the tournament as they might look ahead to shock some more teams and make their dream run to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Star Afghanistan openers, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz added an amazing and outstanding 130-run partnership for the first wicket in just 21.1 overs. Gurbaz scored 65 runs with 9 fours and a six, followed by Zadran’s 87-run knock with 10 fours with the willow.

Later during the run-chase, number three batter Rahmat Shah stitched an unbeaten partnership of 96 runs to take Afghanistan over the line and register their second win in the ongoing edition of the prestigious cricket quadrennial.
