Watch: ‘Grow some f**king b***s’ - Shubman Gill abuses Zak Crawley during last over on Day 3

Indian Test captain Shubman Gill was seen extremely angry at the English opener Zak Crawley wasting time during the last over on the third day’s play in the ongoing Lord’s Test in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

Shifting our focus to the details, after India got bundled out, levelling England’s first innings score of 387, England were supposed to face two overs with six minutes left before the end of the third day’s play.

However, Crawley bailed out of the crease just when Jasprit Bumrah was about to deliver, turning things spicy, causing a bit of a delay. Gill, who was standing in the slip cordon, was quick enough to hurl abuses at the batter, shouting, “Grow some f**king b***s”.

On the fifth ball of the over, Crawley got hit on his finger, hurting it. The batter was quick enough to call the physio. However, Gill sarcastically made an ‘X’ sign, indicating that England to go for an impact sub and retire our Crawley.

That gesture from Gill didn’t go down well with Crawley, who was quick enough to give it back. Furthermore, his opening partner Ben Duckett intervened in between and calmed things down quickly.

After the day’s play, with only one over possible after halting play, there was more chatter between Crawley and the Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj. However, Duckett intervened yet again and pulled the Indian seamer away from his opening partner.

Interestingly, the former Indian captain and commentator Sunil Gavaskar has voiced his support for Crawley, stating that the opening batter was well within his right to call for the physio after being hit on his finger by Bumrah.

Interestingly, the Lord’s Test match hangs in balance at stumps on Day 3 after India levelled the first innings score of 387.
