Pakistan star pacer Haris Rauf hogged the spotlight during the India vs Pakistan Super Four clash on Sunday, September 21, in Dubai, after responding to the chants of Virat Kohli from the crowd, responding with a proactive fighter-jet gesture.

Moving into the details of the incident, a few people in the crowd repeatedly chanted Kohli’s name when Rauf was fielding near the boundary ropes. Notably, Kohli smacked a back-foot six over mid-off against Rauf in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 clash at MCG to take his side over the line.

In response to the crowd’s chants, Rauf could be seen mimicking a fighter jet. Earlier, in the practice sessions, Rauf was also heard shouting 6-0, adding to the controversy. However, it is still unclear if he was trying to mock the Indian crowd present at the venue or display the scoreline of an internal football match.

For the unversed, the 6-0 chant is a reference to the Pakistan Air Force’s claims that they allegedly shot down six Indian fighter jets during the recent Indo-Pak tensions following India’s successful Operation Sindoor.

Notably, India crushed Pakistan by six wickets, chasing 172 in 18.4 overs in the Super Four clash to make it two in two against their arch-rivals in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 campaign.

Delving into the details of the game, Pakistan, after losing the toss, posted a total of 171/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Indian openers Abhishek Sharma (74) and Shubman Gill (47) stitched a 105-run opening stand to turn the game on its head. Eventually, India bagged a six-wicket win with seven balls to spare.

With India continuing their dominant unbeaten run in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 campaign, they will have a two-day break before taking on Bangladesh on Wednesday, September 24.
