In a surprising incident for star Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, the bus driver of India’s team bus happened to shut down the doors just before Ruturaj was about to enter the bus. He was seen engaged in his phone and when he approached the bus, the driver unintentionally went on to shut the door which left the batter in shock.

However, the bus driver didn’t make this move with any specific intention but it still left the fans in splits; subsequently, the fans couldn’t stop themselves from coming up with hilarious memes over X (formerly Twitter). The video of this incident also went viral over social media as soon as it was shared by a user.

“When you are 5 seconds late and the bus driver is Shakib Al Hasan,” read the caption of the video uploaded by a user, who referred to the infamous ‘time-out’ incident that happened with former Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews in ODI World Cup 2023 on an appeal from Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan.

Talking about cricket, Ruturaj Gaikwad was in action for India in the first ODI of the three-match series against South Africa, in which he couldn’t live up to the expectations and got dismissed early at the individual score of 5 runs off 10 balls, with a four.

However, it was completely a one-side match in India’s favour as the hosts got bundled out just at the score of 116 runs in the first innings while batting first after winning the toss. India’s pace duo of Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan scalped a total of 9 wickets, including an amazing five-wicket haul claimed by the left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh.

While chasing the target, India comfortably crossed the line in 16.4 overs, scoring 117 runs for the loss of 2 wickets courtesy of the brilliant half-centuries, scored by young debutant Sai Sudharsan and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer. Eventually, India won the match by a massive margin of 8 wickets.
