The New Zealand skipper Kane Willaimson left everyone in splits with one of his on-field antics with the former Sri Lankan skipper and veteran all-rounder Angelo Mathews. It all happened when Sri Lankan lost their fifth wicket in Kusal Perera and Angelo Mathews came to bat there in the middle.

As soon as Mathews reached the pitch, Kane Williamson didn’t miss a chance to initiate a banter on the infamous ‘timed out’ incident with Mathews in the game against Bangladesh. The Kiwi skipper came to Mathews and asked if the latter had checked his helmet strap already before coming to bat, which was an alleged reason behind him getting ‘timed out’ against Bangladesh.

Just after Kane Williamson’s question, Mathews shared a laugh with the former and both the stars enjoyed the banter with the laughs. The video of this hilarious incident involving Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson and the Islanders’ veteran Angelo Mathews also made rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user over X (formerly Twitter)

Here’s the video when Kane Williamson asked Angelo Mathews about his strap:
