Speaking of the action of the ongoing final between India and Australia, the Aussie skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and asked India to bat first; batting first, the hosts posted a total of 240 runs, losing all wickets in the allotted 50 overs in the first innings. Skipper Rohit Sharma once again provided a quick start to India, scoring 47 runs off 31 balls, with 4 fours and 3 sixes.
Apart from Rohit Sharma, former skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul also scored crucial half-centuries, with 54 and 66 runs, respectively to help India post a respectable total of 240 runs in 50 overs.
