Earlier in the first semi-final against New Zealand; India registered a 70-run win to enter into the ODI World Cup final for the fourth time in the history of the tournament. The last time, was the ODI World Cup 2011 when India played the tournament’s final against Sri Lanka and won by 6 wickets to win their second ODI World Cup trophy after a long wait of 28 years.
