India under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma have made it to the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 after defeating New Zealand in the tournament's first semi-final, played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Meanwhile, in the same line of events, the boxing legend Floyd Mayweather also came up with a congratulatory message for the Indian cricket team ahead of the summit clash of the ODI World Cup 2023.

“I want to say to the Indian Cricket Team, congratulations, you guys are best for making it to the World Cup finals,” said Mayweather in a video message for the Indian cricket team. Subsequently, the fans also came up with a lot of amazing reactions as soon as Mayweather’s video went viral over social media.

Talking about cricket, Rohit Sharma’s men will take on the five-time World Cup champions, Australia in the summit clash of the ODI World Cup 2023. It will also be the rematch of the iconic ODI World Cup 2003 final between India and Australia, where Sourav Ganguly’s India lost to Ricky Ponting’s mighty Australia by a big margin of 125 runs to end up as the runners-up in the tournament.

Apart from that, it is the first-ever ODI World Cup in which India made it to the finals of the tournament without losing even a single match both in the league stage and the knockout stage. The men in blue have registered 10 successive wins in the 10 matches, they played so far in the tournament, including 9 league matches and the first semi-final against New Zealand.

It will be India’s fourth appearance in the ODI World Cup final in the tournament’s 48-year-long history, earlier, they made it to the finals of the ODI World Cup 1983, ODI World Cup 2003, and ODI World Cup 2011; out of which they won the tournament two times in the 1983 and 2011.
