Ravi Shastri made a shocking disclosure regarding the current salaries of the Indian cricket team players. When asked about the approximate earnings, Shastri was discussing the life and pressures of an Indian cricket player on The Overlap Cricket.

With 1.4 billion Indian fans, it wouldn't be incorrect to say that cricket is a popular sport worldwide. As a result, Indian athletes made significantly more money than athletes from any other country without even having a fight.

Among the wealthiest athletes in the world are celebrities like MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virat Kohli.

"They earn a lot"—Ravi Shastri reveals Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's earnings

Shastri emphasized that while he was unsure of the precise figures, he predicted that they would be in the neighborhood of Rs 100 crore.

Michael Vaughan and Alastair Cook were shocked when the renowned cricketer revealed that celebrities like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni appear in 15 to 20 commercials and receive hefty compensation for their brand endorsements.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan, on his show named Stick to Cricket, asked Shastri, ''What kind of numbers do these superstars in India earn?''

In reply, Shastri said, ''They earn a lot. A lot through endorsements, for sure, and upwards of 100 crores.''

Vaughan again asked, ''Which is how much?''

Shastri said, ''Well, I would say 10 million. Yeah, ten million pounds. I'd just calculate one hundred rupees as one pound. So you work backwards, and you can get upwards of that because.''

Shastri even disclosed that these players might have done more commercials in their heyday, but they only did 15 to 20 because of their hectic cricket schedules.

''Someone like an MS or a Virat or Sachin and his pomp. They would do over 15-20 ads. And it's per day. There is no time. You could easily do more because of the amount of cricket being played. So you know they'll do an ad for a year and give us a day,'' he added.
