Aaryavir-Sehwag-

The son of cricket legend Virender Sehwag, Aaryavir Sehwag is causing a stir in Indian cricket due to his affection for Virat Kohli and desire to be a member of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team.

After fierce competition from the South Delhi Superstarz and West Delhi Lions, the Central Delhi Kings eventually acquired him for Rs 9 lakh, after he had been placed in Category B of the Delhi Premier League (DPL 2025) with a base price of Rs 3 lakh.

He is also a member of the Delhi Under-19 cricket squad at the age of 18. In the third over of the game for Central Delhi Kings against East Delhi Riders, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Sehwag Jr. initially hit two straight fours off of Navdeep Saini, the premier pacer for India (2 Tests, 8 ODIs, and 11 T20Is).

In the sixth over against Rounak Waghela, the opener struck two more fours. But in the same over, he was out for 22 off 16 balls.

Recently, the 17-year-old was asked to select between cricket players in an interview with InsideSport. Even though he selected Gill above nearly every alternative, he ultimately went with Virat Kohli.

Aaryavir stated in an exclusive InsideSport interview that he would like to play in the IPL with Kohli, who he believes to be the best batsman of his time. Aaryavir's heart is focused on RCB, even though his father left a legacy with the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings.

“Virat Kohli is my era’s greatest batsman. Yes, it is my dream to share the dressing room with Virat Kohli at RCB. If I get an opportunity to play in the IPL, then sure, I will play with him (Kohli),”  he said.

Aaryavir has been the subject of much hoopla since his two consecutive innings as a member of the Delhi U-19s in the Cooch Behar Trophy cemented his status as a significant talent. The first was an undefeated 200 with 34 boundaries against Meghalaya.

He grew even more the following day, hitting 297 off his own bat and coming painfully close to reaching a triple century.
