Star Pakistan pace spearhead and T20I skipper Shaheen Afridi finally came up with a statement on the media headlines around the viral video and pictures of Pakistan cricketers shifting their luggage from cargo to truck in Australia. It all happened when the Pakistan Cricket Team landed at the Canberra International Airport in Canberra, Australia.

The video of this moment immediately started making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by an X-user (formerly Twitter). The Pakistan and Indian cricket fans came up with a lot of various reactions to this video and questioned if the Pakistan players were given a decent protocol or not.

Now, Shaheen Afridi has cleared all the rumours surrounding this video when he was asked by a journalist on Sunday ahead of Pakistan’s four-day tour game against Prime Minister XI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

“We only had 30 minutes to catch our next flight and we helped because there were just two people. We wanted to wrap it up fast and to save time; anyway, we call this team a family and helped them as a family,” said Shaheen to the journalists.

“We don't have much experience of Canberra, but I am sure this four-day match against PM XI will help us prepare well for the series against the home team starting from Perth,” he added later.
