Team India’s ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, has bought a new red-coloured Lamborghini Urus. The car was delivered in Mumbai a few days ago. Rohit had given away his old Lamborghini Urus to a Dream 11 contest winner.

The new car’s number plate reads ‘3015’. It seems to be based on the birthdays of Rohit’s children, Samaira and Ahaan. Some fans also believe the total of ‘3015’ equals 45, his jersey number.

Samaira’s birthday is on 30 December, while Ahaan’s is on 15 November. His old car’s plate number was ‘264’, which is still his highest individual score in ODIs. The ex-showroom price of his new car is reportedly around INR 4.57 crore.

Rohit was recently seen at The Oval during the last Test match of India’s tour of England. He is now available only for ODIs. After leading India to the ICC T20 World Cup title in 2024, he retired from the shortest format. He then guided the team to the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.

Just before the recent England tour, Rohit announced his retirement from Test cricket. He is expected to return in the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, from 19 to 25 October. A home series against Bangladesh in August was cancelled.

There is some uncertainty about the ODI future of both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli - Reports

Recent reports suggest uncertainty about the ODI future of both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The 2027 ODI World Cup could play a role in the decision. A BCCI source has said the board might have “an honest conversation” with both players to see how they fit into the plans for 2027.

All eyes will be on the upcoming Australia series. It could be their last for India, or they might continue till 2027. In 2023, they failed to cross the final barrier in the home ODI World Cup and hence, fans wish them to compete and win the World Cup in 2027.

Both these players were in action for the last time in the IPL 2025, where Rohit played for the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kohli played for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). RCB and Kohli also bagged their maiden title.
