Virat Kohli could only score 14 runs during his 19-ball stay in the middle and smashed two fours before getting out to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In response, Suresh Raina-led Uttar Pradesh amassed a massive total of 403 runs in their first innings. They took a lead of 168 runs thanks to a century from Mukul Dagar and a 91-run knock from Mohammad Kaif.

In the second innings, Kohli batted at number three and fared decently. He batted for more than 100 minutes scoring 43 runs off 65 deliveries with seven fours to his name. Skipper Sehwag surprisingly batted at number six and notched up a brilliant century scoring 107 runs off 165 deliveries. 

However, Delhi were folded only for 322 runs in their second essay with the lead of only 154 runs. The paltry target was never going to trouble UP as they got over the line with six wickets in hand and in 39.2 overs only. Captain Raina played a vital hand of 37 runs in the chase to take his team to a crucial victory.
