WPL 2025: 3 players to watch out for in the Gujarat Giants vs UP Warriorz match

Gujarat Giants Women will cross swords with UP Warriorz Women in the third match of WPL 2025 at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday, February 16. 

Gujarat Giants, led by the Australian star all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner, had an unsuccessful start to the season as they suffered a loss to the defending champions RCB Women, led by Smriti Mandhana. However, they would be aiming to get back to the winning ways as soon as possible before it gets too late.

On the other hand, Deepti Sharma’s UP Warriorz will be hoping to start their campaign on a winning note after handing the Giants successive losses. Unfortunately, in the last year, Warriorz, led by Alyssa Healy, could bag only three wins from eight games in the league phase to get eliminated.

3. Deandra Dottin

The Caribbean-dashing all-rounder Deandra Dottin had a decent debut in the Women’s Premier League for the Gujarat Giants Women this season against Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women. However, she couldn’t lead her team to victory with her performance.

On her debut against RCB Women in the WPL, she smacked 25 runs, batting in the middle-order. Furthermore, she scalped one wicket with the ball in hand. With a lot of experience in WBBL, WCPL and Hundred Women's competitions, she would be aiming to put up an exceptional performance in this WPL season.
