WPL: Full list of orange cap winners from 2023 to 2025

In the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 Grand Final, the Mumbai Indians defeated the Delhi Capitals, winning their second WPL championship and becoming the first WPL team to win multiple trophies.

The first WPL champions won their second WPL trophy thanks to a full team effort, and as the season came to an end, many records were broken, including the one for most runs scored by an individual, Nat Sciver-Brunt, who finished with the Orange Cap.

Today, we take a look at the list of all Orange Cap winners in WPL from 2023 to 2025:

The first-ever Orange Cap winner of the WPL in 2023 was Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning. With 345 runs from 9 games at an average of 49.28 and a strike rate of 139.11, Lanning concluded the 2023 WPL. With the season's top score of 72, she recorded two fifties.

Her two fifties came in dashing style. In Delhi's first WPL match against RCB, Lanning got things going in a big manner by hitting 72 off 43 deliveries. She responded by hitting UP Warriorz with another scorching 70 (42). Delhi finished the league stage atop the table due to Lanning's play, and they easily advanced to the final, where they met the Mumbai Indians.

The second Orange Cap winner of the WPL in 2024 was Ellyse Perry from the champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Ellyse Perry, cricketing royalty and the best player in the women's game, was instrumental in RCB's WPL 2024 victory run with the bat and the ball. With two fifty-plus scores and 347 runs from nine games at an amazing average of 69.40, the Australian star finished the 2024 WPL season as the leading scorer.

A fast-paced 58 off 37 balls versus UP Warriorz became Perry’s maiden fifty in the WPL 2024. In their Eliminator match against Mumbai, Perry led RCB in scoring with 66, which helped them win and advance to the final.

The third and latest Orange Cap winner of the WPL in 2025 was MI’s Nat Sciver-Brunt, who broke the record and became the first batter to cross 500 runs in one season. She scored 523 runs from the 10 games at an average of 65.37 while striking at 152.47 and registering five fifty-plus scores this season alone. Sciver-Brunt’s best score was 80* in WPL 2025’s second match between MI and Delhi Capitals.
