Former legendary Indian skipper, MS Dhoni has been in the headlines for the last couple of days since he used the sticker of his friend’s shop on his bat during the net practice. This move from MSD attracted a lot of praise from a lot of former cricketers and experts of the game, including the former legendary Australia wicketkeeper-batter Adam Gilchrist.

Dhoni’s childhood friend Paramjit Singh runs a shop of sports accessories like cricket kits, bats and all sort of stuff, in Ranchi. Meanwhile, Paramjit Singh also expressed his gratitude to MS Dhoni for promoting his shop at the big level to millions of the fans.

“I'm feeling very proud, MS has always been there with us, that's our friendship, he's given me his signed bat,” said Paramjit to Aaj Tak.

The video of Paramjit’s special remarks for Dhoni is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user over X (formerly Twitter).

Here’s the video:

Just a few days back during the second T20I between Australia and West Indies, former Australia great and now the commentator, Adam Gilchrist spoke about the Indian Premier League and also mentioned the sticker of friend’s shop on Dhoni’s bat.

“Got to reach India 10 days before the tournament starts. March, maybe 11th of March we are heading off. Looking forward to it. Great tournament, really is. Best players from all around the world. Best Indian players playing… it's incredible. The crowds are unbelievable, the noise they make. The atmosphere in the ground. And MS Dhoni is back. He's hitting balls in the nets already I reckon,” said Gilchrist on Fox Sports.

“I saw him hitting some balls in the nets, MS Dhoni. There's a new bat sticker on his bat. Just a local sports store of one of his schoolmates. Whack the company name on your bat just to give a boost to sales,” he added later.
