Reports that Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer-social media star Dhanashree Verma would compete together have heightened speculation over the upcoming reality show The 50.

Given that Chahal and Dhanashree, who were wed in 2020, divorced last year, the development has garnered a lot of attention. The show, which is anticipated to be one of India's biggest reality television formats, is expected to gain a great deal of attention if their joint involvement is confirmed.

Both Chahal and Dhanashree appear on a preliminary list of candidates circulating online, according to several media outlets. Because of their sustained individual public personas and their highly publicized separation, their supposed inclusion has become a big discussion issue.

Although it's yet unknown how the format will handle personal equations between candidates, industry observers think that their appearance together in a competitive reality setting could impact early audience interest.

Multiple high-profile names listed on premilitary list of participants on The 50

In addition to Chahal and Dhanashree, a number of other well-known figures are being connected to the program. Rapper Emiway Bantai, actor Saba Azad, social media star Orry, businesswoman Tanya Mittal, and TV actors Nikki Tamboli, Shweta Tiwari, Ankita Lokhande, and Shiv Thakare are among them.

According to reports, the rumored lineup also includes digital creators Kusha Kapila and Faisal Shaikh, better known by his stage as Mr. Faisu. Regulars from reality shows like Pratik Sehajpal and former Indian cricket player Sreesanth are reportedly being approached, suggesting a cast intended to combine fame with competitive expertise.

The 50 will have up to fifty contestants, in contrast to traditional reality shows with a small number of players. Although the elimination rules have not yet been announced, the structure is anticipated to challenge flexibility, mental toughness, and strategic awareness.

The 50 will make its debut on February 1. The show will air on Colors TV at 10.30 p.m. after first streaming on JioHotstar at 9 p.m.

The rumored involvement of Chahal and Dhanashree together continues to fuel discussions about The 50, raising expectations for its premiere even if formal confirmation is still pending.
