Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka ODI series 2025: Full schedule, timings, squads and live streaming details

Sri Lanka are all set to play a two-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe, starting on August 29, 2025. Both matches will be played in Harare, on August 29 and 31 respectively.

Craig Ervine will lead the home side, while wicketkeeper-batter Brendan Taylor has made a comeback in ODIs. This will be his first ODI since September 2021. Not only him, but the hosts have also been boosted by the return of Richard Ngarava, who is back from injury. 

Players like Clive Madande, Tony Munyonga, Brad Evans, and uncapped seamer Ernest Masuku have also been added to the squad. None of these players were there in Zimbabwe’s recent ODI series against Ireland.

For the visitors, Sri Lanka come into the series with momentum after winning a three-match home ODI series against Bangladesh 2-1. They will look to continue that form in Zimbabwe. However, they will be without their star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga, who sustained a hamstring injury during the recent home T20I series against Bangladesh.

When it comes to the head-to-head record, Sri Lanka have shown clear dominance. Out of 64 ODIs between the two sides, Zimbabwe have won 12, while Sri Lanka have claimed 49 victories. Three matches ended with no result. 

In Zimbabwe, the dominance becomes even stronger for the visitors. Out of 23 matches, Zimbabwe have won only three times, while Sri Lanka have won on 20 occasions. 

Hence, in front of the home crowd, a tough battle awaits Zimbabwe.
