It would be a massive understatement to say that the much-awaited India-Pakistan match from the Asia Cup 2022 was entertaining. The cricket match between the two giants went on to break multiple viewership records.Such was the exclusivity of the game.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. The game got off to a decent start for Pakistan with both openers starting nicely against the arch-rivals. Captain Babar Azam looked in great touch but it was the Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar who got the last laugh as he dismissed the number one T20I batter. The other opener Mohammad Rizwan held the fort at one end while other Pakistan batters came and went. Pakistan looked out and about after Rizwan was dismissed at 43 by Hardik Pandya.

The young bowler Shahnawaz Dahani ended with a flurry at the end, which took the Men in Green to a decent 147/10. Bhuvneshwar with a bowling figure of 4-26-4 was a great leader in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.

Coming onto chase the small total, India began poorly as opener K L Rahul was dismissed on duck by a sensational ball from young Naseem Shah. The veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli tried to steady the ship. Rohit Sharma, however, could not get to a big total as he threw away his wicket playing a lofted shot. Kohli departed on the very next ball in a similar manner and India looked in trouble.

Ravindra Jadeja was promoted up the order in absence of Rishabh Pant and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. With Hardik Pandya, the southpaw made a great partnership in the middle to lead India right at the edge of a win but lost his wicket in the last over. All came down to Dinesh Karthik, who with Pandya took the team home and won by five wickets with a Hardik Pandya hitting a six in the end.
