Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal and Manchester United star footballer, has been grieving over his lost son for the past few days. He and Partner Rodriguez lost their newborn son on the 18th of April 2022. The star footballer decided to skip Manchester United's game against Liverpool on the following day but returned for the next encounter against Arsenal.

The 37-year old scored the only goal for Manchester United against Arsenal. The goal at the Emirates Stadium also happened to be his 100th Premier League goal, which he dedicated to his late son. Ronaldo added another goal to his total goals as Manchester United drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Old Trafford. Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez took to Instagram and shared the image of Ronaldo's celebration, where he dedicated the goal to his son. The post was captioned with a heart.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't had the homecoming he desired at Manchester United. However, he has still been their best player. He has scored 17 Premier League goals in the 2021-22 season and has frequently carried the team out of tough circumstances.  Manchester United, on the other side, is in disarray as their season in 2022 has been deteriorating. They have only managed one point in their last three games against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

After the game against Chelsea, Man United interim manager Rangnick praised Ronaldo. He said that he has a great attitude towards the game at this age. He also stated that if he maintains his current form, the team would be benefitted greatly. "Not only the goal Cristiano scored but his whole performance, his attitude at the age of 37, this is not normal to do that. If he plays like he did today he can still be a big help to this team. It was a good point for us. In the first half, Chelsea dominated the game. You can see that they have top players and are well organised, and it’s not so easy to get hold of them," Rangnic was quoted saying by Sports Tiger.
