The rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Paris Saint Germain (PSG) next season have surfaced all over the news. This came mainly after PSG lost to Real Madrid in the second leg of their round of 16 matchups in the UEFA Europa League.

Karim Benzema scored his first career hat-trick as Real Madrid rallied to defeat the former French champions 3-1. Kylian Mbappe scored the lone goal for PSG in the 39-minute mark. Following their defeat, the speculations began with rumours of Portugal and Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo joining PSG for the upcoming season.

The 37-year-old shattered the internet when he left Juventus to join Manchester United, where he had previously become one of the best players in history. These rumours about him heading to PSG have some validity because Ronaldo isn't receiving the results he wants.

Manchester United began the season as favourites to win their record 21st title, but expectations quickly dipped, resulting in the dismissal of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Ronaldo, too, has struggled in England, scoring 14 goals in all competitions for Manchester United. According to ESPN, he also had the longest goalless stretch in his career, which lasted 587 minutes.

Meanwhile, according to several rumours, Kylian Mbappe is expected to quit PSG and join Real Madrid next season. The Spanish giants have been hunting the French superstar for the previous two transfer windows and may be able to sign him before the start of the upcoming season. To fill this hole, PSG might recruit Cristiano Ronaldo next season, making one of the greatest front lines in football history.

The transfer could very well be on the cards as PSG is one of the only clubs that can afford the charges of Cristiano Ronaldo.
