Cristiano Ronaldo is currently busy preparing for the upcoming Football World Cup in Qatar. It might be his last World Cup for Portugal. However, he has not enjoyed a great season so far in the Premier League for his Manchester United club. Ronaldo has been struggling to score goals this season. Currently, Erik ten Hag has been preferring him out of the laying XI from most of the games.
So, the Portuguese star has not been happy with such behaviour from the club. Before this season, he also missed the pre-season for the club due to some personal issues. But, after his arrival, he has failed to concrete his place in the playing. Ronaldo last played for the Red Devils on 6 November against Aston Villa. He did not get featured in the playing XI against Fulham on 13 November. Now, an interview has come out after that match where Ronaldo was seen claiming to get betrayed by the club.

In the interview, Cristiano Ronaldo said: “Manchester United tried to force me out. Not only the manager but the other two or three guys who are around the club [at the senior executive level]. I felt betrayed. I don’t care, people should listen to the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed. I feel that some people didn’t want me here, not only this year but last season too.”
“I followed my heart. He [Ferguson] said to me, ‘It’s impossible for you to come to Manchester City,’ and I said, ‘OK, Boss.’ The progress was zero. Since Sir Alex left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed. He [Ferguson] knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be. He knows. Everyone knows. The people who don’t see that. It’s because they don’t want to see; they are blind,” Ronaldo added.
“I don’t have respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect for me,” Ronaldo can be heard saying in a small clip of the interview. “If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you,” the Portuguese superstar concluded. So, fans went berserk after seeing such an explosive interview about the club and the manager.
