Dale Steyn names a batter from the current lot who could have troubled him at his prime

Former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn was one of the most fearsome bowlers during his playing days. The pacer troubled the best batters of his era and made a reputation as one of the greats of the game. From Sachin Tendulkar to Ricky Ponting, every batsman danced to the tunes of Steyn. What made Steyn different from others was his ability to adapt to the conditions. The pacer excelled in all conditions and against all opposition.

However, despite his dominance, there were a few batters who played him better than the rest. But ever wondered which batter from the current generation would have troubled him. Well, the answer has been revealed by Steyn himself. During a question-answer session, Steyn was asked about the player from the current generation who would have troubled him and the pacer responded by taking KL Rahul’s name.

Rahul is one of the most elegant yet brutal batsmen of the current lot. He has been an integral part of the India setup. He has played 40 Tests, 38 ODI and 54 T20I for the Men in Blue, amassing 2321, 1509 and 1751 runs, respectively. He has a stellar record in IPL as well, with 3273 runs in 94 games.
