The dates of the sixth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League have been announced. The tournament will take place from November 23 to December 4 later this year. The tournament will be played between six teams Northern Warriors, Delhi Bulls, Team Abu Dhabi, Bangla Tigers, The Chennai Braves, and Deecan Gladiators. Gladiators are the defending champions this year with them winning the last edition and beating the Bulls in the final.
Meanwhile, HE Aref Al Awani, General Secretary, Abu Dhabi Sports Council said that with their partnership with Abu Dhabi T10, the Emirate has strengthened its position as a major sporting hub in the world. He added that the success of the league is evidence of the success of the objective of the Abu Dhabi government to establish the leadership of the emirate in global sports.
“Through our partnership with the Abu Dhabi T10, we have further positioned Abu Dhabi as a major sporting global hub and consistently demonstrated the city’s ability to both build, and host, one of cricket’s most entertaining competitions,” said HE Aref Al Awani, General Secretary, Abu Dhabi Sports Council. “This is evidence of the success of a significant strategic objective of the Abu Dhabi government; to create and deliver sporting events that contribute to enhancing the emirate’s leadership in global sports.”
Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of T Ten Sports Management, added: “When we first brought the league to Abu Dhabi, we had the aim of establishing it as one of the standout events on the international cricket calendar and, with the support of ADC, ADSC, DCT – Abu Dhabi and Emirates Cricket Board, we’ve done just that.
The tournament will see teams playing each other twice with every team playing 10 league games. The top four teams will play the semifinal and the loser of the top four clashes will play the 3rd place playoff game. A lot of stars from across the globe will feature in the league
