David Miller is currently busy playing in the ODI series in India ahead of the 20-20 World Cup. After having a successful Indian T20 League for the Gujarat franchise, Miller has enjoyed a great run with his country also. In the three-match T20I series against India, he performed well. Miller continued his form in the ODI format also as he provided a match-winning contribution in the series opener.
However, on the eve of the second match of the series, David Miller shared bad news on his social media platforms. He shared the news of the passing away of his die-hard fan Ane. She passed away due to cancer. While sharing that news, the South African batter shared some heartfelt words in loving memory of her.

Speaking of the shared post on Instagram, Miller wrote: “RIP you little rockstar, Love you always!”. He even shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram story with images of him with that girl.
Miller wrote: “Going to miss you so much by skut! The biggest I’ve ever known. You took the fighting to a different level – always incredibly positive and with a smile on your face. A cheeky and mischievous side to you. You embraced every person and every challenge in your journey. You taught me so much about cherishing every single moment in life! Speaking of the ongoing series, David Miller came up with a match-winning knock in the first ODI. He scored 75* runs off 63 balls, including five fours and three sixes. His inning helped the Proteas to post 249 runs for four wickets in 50 overs. In response, India only managed to score 240 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs. Thus, India lost the match by nine runs. Now, on 9 October 2022, Miller will be in action again for the second ODI.
