He had not been in the best form ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022, but that changed in the 15th edition of the tournament. Playing for the league debutants, Gujarat, Miller played brilliant cricket throughout. He had a vital role to play in the team’s campaign win. 85* vs Pakistan, 2021

South Africa faced an early collapse while batting first. Miller walked in when half of the team was sent back for a score below fifty. He took on the bowlers, with only the tail left to support him. He tore apart the bowling attack with five fours and seven sixes in the innings. However, he had no assistance, as the team scored 164 runs. Miller scored 85 runs in just 45 balls. In the end, Pakistan had a comfortable chase and won the match by four wickets.

64* vs India, 2022

On a challenging batting surface, India set a lofty target of 212. South Africa, in the chase, had a rocky start as they lost three wickets within the first nine overs for a team score of 81. David Miller then joined Rassie van der Dussen in the middle. The two did not waste any time and started scoring from the word go. Miller hit some clean strokes and played with a strike of over 206. The two added 131 runs in the partnership to take the team through. Miller stayed unbeaten on 64 runs in 34 balls.

Playing against Bangladesh’s decent bowling attack in 2018, David Miller registered his highest career score in a T20I game. The aggressive batter got off to a lucky start in his innings, being dropped on zero. However, he was able to get to the three-digit mark in just 35 balls. The left-hander smashed an unbeaten 101 off just 36 balls, including nine sixes and seven fours. Mohammad Saifuddin of Bangladesh was singled out for special treatment as Miller blasted him for five straight sixes. He helped the team set a target of 225 runs. Later, South Africa won the match by 83 runs.
