Justin Langer assured that the fans will see David Warner in action. Warner will play the third Test against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground. However, Langer added that the classy opening batsman would have to play through the pain.

David Warner missed the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to a groin injury. He sustained the injury in the limited-overs series of the tour. The Australian team management has been eagerly waiting for him to get back in the team considering their top-order flaws. Joe Burns will be excluded from the squad after his poor performances in the first two Test matches.

One of the biggest disappointments for the hosts so far has been Steve Smith. The batsman scored only ten runs in four innings in the series.

Langer termed Warner as a "little warrior". He stated that the dynamic opener had shown enough in his training sessions. Warner has been performing consistently to secure a spot in Australia's playing XI for the third Test.

Pucovski is set for a potential debut. The youngster suffered a concussion in the first practice match against Team India earlier this month.

David Warner will have to play under some pain: Justin Langer

Justin Langer highlighted that the batsman has not fully recovered and will have to overcome the pain he might experience during the match. However, he also pointed out that playing the Test match will not aggravate the southpaw's injury. The Australian coach concluded by stating that Warner enjoys his full support. He is too eager to see the left-handed batsman performing his best in the third Test at Sydney.

The 34-year-old has an excellent record on home ground against the Men in Blue. The southpaw has aggregated 693 runs against Team India at an average of 49.50 on Australia's bouncy tracks. Warner has also played two Test matches against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The opener has smashed 113 runs, including a century in these encounters. He has a decent average of 37.66. The third Test will start at the SCG on Thursday.
