Indian pacer Deepak Chahar tied the knot with Jaya Bharadwaj in Agra on Wednesday. The pacer proposed Bharadwaj during the last league game of the Indian T20 League 2021. He had initially planned to do it in the playoffs, but preponed the plan on the advice of Chennai captain MS Dhoni.

Deepak Chahar's cousin Rahul Chahar posted photos and videos of the Haldi, Mehendi, and other pre-wedding rituals on social media. Now, the cricketer himself has gone on to post about his wedding. Deepak shared a picture of his wedding day on his official Instagram account on Wednesday.

"When I met you the first time I felt that you are the one and I was right. We have enjoyed every moment of our life together and I promise you to keep you always happy like this. One of the best moments of my life. Everyone pls give your blessings to us," he captioned the post.

In the meantime, Deepak Chahar was purchased by Chennai ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022 for INR 14 crore. He became Chennai's most expensive buy in the auction ever. However, the pacer was unable to play a single game in the season, owing to injuries. Chahar was injured while playing for India in a T20 match against the West Indies in February. He was rehabilitating from a quadriceps tear when he was injured again at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

He got a lower back injury and was ruled out of the Chennai team for the 2022 season. In his absence, the men in yellow were able to discover a decent pace option for the powerplay in Mukesh Choudhary. However, the four-time champions had a dreadful season this year, with many injuries in camp adding to their troubles. As a result, they won only four of the 14 league games they played, and ended in ninth place in the points table.
