The Pakistan Cricket Board urged the Indian Cricket Board to swap the venue for their World Cup 2023 clashes against Afghanistan and Australia. Pakistan want their Chennai fixture to be shifted to M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. On the other hand, they want to play their match against Australia in Chennai.
Although the Indian Cricket Board has given a big blow to the Pakistan Cricket Board as they have denied to make any changes in the World Cup schedule of the latter. Meanwhile, a section of cricket fans immediately took to Twitter to troll Pakistan after the possible denial of their request to the Indian Cricket Board.
“The BCCI source confirms there are unlikely to be any changes in the venues for the World Cup after Pakistan raised concerns for facing Afghanistan on spin-friendly Chepauk pitch,” reads a report in PTI.
Here’s how fans reacted:

Notably, Pakistan and India will be facing each other in the Asia Cup 2023 before the commencement of the ODI World Cup 2023 in India. Both teams will be playing against each other in the Asia Cup 2023 at a neutral stadium in Sri Lanka.
Earlier in any major or marquee international cricket tournament, both teams faced each other in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Both teams locked horns in the group stage match of the World Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. India won that match by a very close margin of 4 wickets courtesy of Virat Kohli’s sensational unbeaten knock of 82 runs.
Now, both teams are scheduled once again to face each other in the ODI World Cup 2023 to be held in India. The reported venue for the Indian vs Pakistan clash as of now is the Narendra Modi Stadium of Ahmedabad.
