Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav have been dropped from the Test squad

Devdutt Padikkal has been scoring plenty of runs in domestic cricket. He developed as one of the biggest revelations of IPL 2020, courtesy of his fine run at the top order for RCB. In what was only his second season in the Indian Premier League, the left-hander won hearts with his consistency, temperament, and maturity. He returned with 473 runs in his 15 IPL matches at an average of 31.53. He continued his purple patch in the tournament this year as well. The youngster amassed 195 runs in six games, including a century. Padikkal was also in excellent form in the esteemed Vijay Hazare Trophy. He also emerged as the second-highest run-getter in the tournament. The 20-year-old amassed 737 runs from seven games at an average of 147.40.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India recently declared India's squad for the forthcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final and the Test series against England. The BCCI has announced a 20-member team. Ravindra Jadeja and Hanuma Vihari will both be returning to the Test squad after recovering from respective injuries. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav have been dropped from the Test squad. The squad stimulated quite a few surprises for the cricket fanatics as both Prithvi Shaw and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were ignored by the selection committee. Instead, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, and Arzan Nagwaswalla have been chosen as standbys. They will be traveling with the rest of the team to England.
