Dewald Brevis reveals he has posters of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli in his bedroom

Dewald Brevis has been a revelation in the last few months in the cricketing world. Earlier this year, during the U19 World Cup for South Africa, he dominated the runs scoring charts with 506 runs in six games, averaging 84.33. This performance attracted bids from Chennai, Punjab, Lucknow, and Mumbai during the Indian T20 League mega auction in February this year. Mumbai bagged him at a price of 3 crores INR.

During the ongoing 15th season, the Protean made his debut against Kolkata. He hasn't scored a fifty yet but has played some entertaining innings for the Mumbai fans. However, his team is having a horrific time as they have lost five out of as many games in the tournament so far. Meanwhile, Brevis has said that he looked up to former Proteas skipper AB de Villers growing up. He added that he also has the posters of De Villers, Virat Kohli, and Sachin Tendulkar in the his room.

The right-hander also said that he liked late Shane Warne as a bowler. "I think a lot of people know AB de Villiers, and I look up to him since I was a youngster and love the way he played and how he goes about his game. Then also Sachin Tendulkar always idolised him because of the way he plays and the way he lives about his motos and how he goes about the things in life. I also like Virat Kohli and as a bowler Shane Warne, I look up to him because I'm also a leg spinner so that's why," Brevis spoke on Star Sports.

The former U19 player added that he is excited to spend some time with Mumbai players during the season. "I'm so excited, for me I really look forward to spending time with every single player in the team, learning from them and when I get the opportunity, use it mostly just to learn, play the game and to enjoy it and keep it simple," he added.
