India are currently in action against Australia in the coveted World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 cycle’s final at the Oval, London. India’s star batter Virat Kohli again had a forgettable outing as he could only score 14 runs off 31 deliveries which included two fours. After getting dismissed, Kohli was spotted inside the dressing room eating something out of a plate. The viral images weren’t adored by the frustrated Indian fans on Twitter.

Notably, Virat Kohli posted a story on his Instagram story which mentioned an emotional message. The message read, ‘You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people’s opinions.’

Here’s the shared story:

India close out Day 2 at 151/5

Australia eventually reached 469 runs in the first innings, but the Indian bowlers shut them down and went on to win the match. With 4/108, Mohammed Siraj continued to be India's go-to bowler. At the same time, Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur both returned to the field with two wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja got one wicket. Travis Head, who finished with 163 off 174 and is still the show-stopper for the Australians, was closely followed by Steve Smith, who had 121 off 268.

Thanks to the two openers, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, India got off to a strong start, scoring 30 runs without losing a wicket. Alas, it was not to last as a top-order collapse followed as India were four-down for 71 runs on the board. Ravindra Jadeja played well for his 48 off 51 but could not orchestrate his start to a big innings.

As things stand, Australia have an upper hand on the WTC Final with a lead of 318 runs at stumps, Day 2. India scored 151/5 for the day, with Ajinkya Rahane scoring 29* off 71 and KS Bharat scoring 5* off 14. On the other hand, every single Australian bowler used by skipper Pat Cummins including himself have picked up a wicket in the Day.
