The day's first game was the much anticipated second El Clasico of IPL 2023, with Chennai Super Kings hosting the Mumbai Indians in the Chepauk. Deepak Chahar and Tushar Deshpande returned with two wickets each, while Ravindra Jadeja scalped one. Nehal Wadhera, with 64 off 51, remained the star with the bat for Mumbai Indians.
