MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh have been a crucial part of team India, especially in their 2011 50-over World Cup campaign. Dhoni also led team India to the 20-20 World Cup victory in 2007. Yuvraj was a vital part of that journey also. In the 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj scored 362 runs and scalped 15 wickets throughout the tournament.

Thus, he won the player of the tournament award. But, it has been observed that Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh always blamed Dhoni for betraying his son. He said that former Indian captains Dhoni, and Virat Kohli betrayed his son. He said that apart from these players, Board selectors betrayed Yuvraj also.

MS Dhoni fans were shocked to see such action from Yuvraj Singh

While speaking to News24, Yograj Singh said: “Along with these two, I would say that even the selectors betrayed him. I met Ravi recently. He asked me for a photograph. I called him and pointed out that all great players should get a send-off based on their performances. When Dhoni, Kohli, or Rohit retire, I would request the board to give them a good send-off as they have done so much for Indian cricket. Many have backstabbed him and it hurts.”

In an interview with Sanjay Manjrekar for Sports18, Yuvraj Singh also said that before the 2007 20-20 World Cup, he was the vice-captain. But, a tussle with then coach Greg Chappel led him to lose the captaincy, and suddenly, MS Dhoni became the captain for that World Cup. He said: “I was supposed to be the captain. Then the Greg Chappell incident happened. It had become Chappell or Sachin. I was probably the only player who supported that I support my teammate. Some of the Indian Cricket Board officials did not like that. It was said that they should make anybody the captain but not myself. This is what I heard.”

Now, on 12 December 2022, Yuvraj Singh celebrated his 41st birthday. So, a fan page shared a video on their Twitter handle with the caption: “Happy birthday champ @YUVSTRONG12.” Then, on 16 December, Yuvraj Singh reported that video on his Twitter with a caption: “Thanks for this lovely edit @GemsOfCricket.” But, fans spotted a difference as an image of MS Dhoni with Yuvraj was missing from that video. It was replaced by another picture and MS Dhoni fans did not like that at all.

Here are the shared video and original video:
