Speaking of the post, Dinesh Karthik shared a video where he shared memories from the recently concluded tournament. He wrote: “Worked hard towards the goal of playing the T20 World Cup for India and it was such a proud feeling to do so... we did fall short of the ultimate motive, but it did fill my life with many memories to cherish. Thank you to all my fellow players, coaches, friends and most importantly the fans for the undying support. #DreamsDoComeTrue #T20WorldCup.”

It seemed like Dinesh Karthik announced his retirement from International cricket and fans found it also interesting. Meanwhile, in the 20-20 World Cup 2022, Karthik scored only 14 runs in three innings. After the first four matches, team India did not consider him as they went with Rishabh Pant over him. Recently, Dinesh Karthik opened up about team India’s decision not to consider players like Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel in the playing XI in the World Cup.

While speaking to Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik said: “They didn't sulk once or get upset once because they were very sure. At the start of the tournament they were said that under these conditions we would be playing you otherwise, it might be hard. So they were very aware and were preparing in such a way that when getting an opportunity they will try and do their best but there might be a chance that they end up not playing.”
