Team India batter Shreyas Iyer is back for practice sessions with the squad ahead of their clash against Bangladesh in the last Super 4 match of the ongoing Asia Cup. He featured only in two of the matches in the Asia Cup against Pakistan and Nepal in the group stage. In the Super 4 match against their arch-rivals,  he was ruled out just a few minutes before the game due to a back spasm.

But he attended Team India's practice session on Thursday, September 14 ahead of the team's final Super Fours match. India will face Shakib Al Hasan's side in their final Super Fours match on Friday, September 15 in Colombo. Before taking on the winner of the Sri Lanka-Pakistan match in the summit clash on Sunday, September 17. The Men in Blue side will be hoping to get back their middle-order batter fully fit ahead of the World Cup.

Will Shreyas Iyer feature in the last Asia Cup match?

Iyer's back injury is not very serious but concerns remain about his availability for India's final Super 4 game against Bangladesh on Friday. The national selection committee is set to name the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia in recent weeks. Men in Blue management will be happy to get the batter fully fit ahead of the Australia series and the World Cup.

The Indian team management will be concerned about the Kolkata Knight Riders captain's fitness. In case he misses the Australia series, he would be really short of match practice with only two warm-up games left before the first match against Australia in Chennai. Then the selection committee will replace him with some other players in case he cannot able to feature in the Australia series.

The big boost for the two-time World Champion is that KL Rahul's form. He has given solidarity in the middle order and given positive intent for the Men in Blue by scoring a century in the Super 4 match against Pakistan. He was unbeaten at 111 runs and on a difficult pitch against Sri Lanka he played a crucial knock of 39 runs when his team was struggling.
