Virat Kohli

Former Indian skipper and batting superstar Virat Kohli is currently out of action from international cricket. He is spending time with his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Recently, the star couple visited their newly-bought 8-acre land in Alibaug to begin the construction of their new house.

Talking about cricket, Virat was recently with Team India for the three-match ODI series against West Indies. However, he didn’t get a chance to bat in all three ODIs as he was supposed to come lower down the order in the first ODI and was rested from the second and third ODI.

He will now be in action with Team India at the highest level of the game in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The Men in Blue, under the captaincy of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, will start their run in the continental tournament with their campaign opener against the arch-rivals, Pakistan. Both teams will play this high-octane clash at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Virat Kohli nearing a milestone, which could be achieved in Asia Cup 2023

Interestingly, Kohli is just 102 runs away from achieving a milestone of 13,000 runs in the ODI format. He might accomplish this feat in the upcoming 16th edition of the Asia Cup. The 34-year-old has represented India in 275 ODIs since his debut in 2008. Batting in 265 innings, he has scored 12,898 with an impressive average of 57.32, including 46 centuries and 65 half-centuries.

Apart from that, Kohli is just 4 centuries away from breaking the world record of 49 ODI centuries, scored by the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar. Following the conclusion of the Asia Cup 2023, one of the biggest assignments for the 2011 World Cup-winning batter will be the ODI World Cup 2023, in India. Earlier, a lot of cricket experts and former cricketers had said that Team India would eye to win this World Cup for Kohli as they did in ODI World Cup 2011 for Sachin Tendulkar.

Returning to the 8-acre land bought by Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, it attracted the eyeballs of cricket fans on social media. The fans came up with a lot of different reactions to Kohli’s plans of shifting to Alibaug.
