Senior Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has come up with a big revelation with his connections in Kolkata. He opened up on how supportive was the Kolkata management even after he was picked by Bangalore in the Indian T20 League auction.
“KKR & Venky Mysore sir allowed me to practice in the KKR academy with Abhishek Nayar even after RCB picked me up in IPL, he has been like a father figure for me, I am always grateful for that,” said Karthik in the official podcast of Bangalore franchise.

Speaking of Dinesh Karthik’s Indian T20 League career, he made his debut in the very first season of the tournament for Delhi. Since then, he has played 229 matches and scored 4376 runs in 208 innings with an acceptable average of 26.85. In these appearances, he has smashed 20 half-centuries.
He also made it to the headlines after making a stunning comeback in the national T20I side of India. He got a comeback call in the squad of India for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 last year. The entire cricketing fraternity praised him for his intent at the age of 37.
Apart from this, Karthik has also represented India at the international level of the game for almost more than a one and half a decade. In 180 international appearances, he has aggregated almost 3500 international runs with a Test century and 17 half-centuries across the formats.
