Former star CSK all-rounder and current bowling coach, Dwayne Bravo has come up with a big statement on skipper MS Dhoni’s chances of playing in next year’s Indian Premier League. Notably, there have been a lot of speculations if IPL 2023 was the last appearance of MS Dhoni in this franchise T20 league.
Meanwhile, some of the cricket experts and former cricketers also came up with their analyses on Dhoni’s IPL stint with Chennai Super Kings.
But Dhoni’s former teammate and CSK’s bowling coach Dwayne Bravo has come up with completely a different statement on this concern over Dhoni.
“100 percent. Especially with the Impact Player rule. It will keep prolonging his career. He further added, “He bats really deep. I think the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, (Shivam) Dube… these guys make a huge difference. You don’t require much from MS. But he has the ability to keep his calm when the team is under pressure,” said Bravo in a post-match interview after CSK’s win against Gujarat Titans in the first qualifier.
Here’s what Dwayne Bravo said further on MS Dhoni
“Frankly, it takes a heavy toll. I have been out of the home for literally four months. I will always come to CSK. I have been out of home since January, been practicing since March, so we will see. January 31 was when I got out of the house, finished my work, and started practicing from the 2nd or 3rd of March. It takes a lot, but I have ample time to decide. I have 8-9 months to decide. Why take that headache now? I have ample time to decide. The auction is in December,” he added later.
Now, Dhoni will be in action with CSK as a skipper in the final of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023. CSK will play the final against the winning side of the second qualifier which will be played between Gujarat Titans and the Mumbai Indians.
