The England and Wales Cricket Board declared the entire list of fixtures for the women England versus India series. This includes one Test, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and as many T20 Internationals (T20Is). The matches are going to commence in June. The forthcoming series will begin with a single Test from June 16-19. It will be England’s first red-ball match since the 2019 Ashes. On the other end, Team India will be playing their first game of the purest format since November 2014.
England and India will first face each other in a four-day Test match, starting from June 16. Then both sides will lock horns in three ODIs commencing from June 27. All the games are planned to be played at Bristol, Taunton, and Worcester. India and England will then play in three T20Is, beginning July 9, and the three games will be played at Northampton, Hove, and Chelmsford. English captain Heather Knight expressed her excitement for the forthcoming matches against India. She added that last year was quite challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic but to start the summer with the India series is quite thrilling.
England to host New Zealand for T20I and ODI games
After the India series, England will face New Zealand Women for the T20I and ODI games. It will then be followed by a tour to Pakistan before completing The Hundred – England’s franchise-based 100-ball cricket competition starting on July 21. Against New Zealand, the England cricket team will play a three-match T20I series in September 2021. It is going to be called Vitality IT20 Series. The series will be followed by Royal London Series– a five-match ODI series.
