English fast bowler Ollie Robinson has been suspended from all forms of international cricket for the racist and sexist tweets he posted as a teenager. The 27-year-old was the pick of the bowlers for the England cricket team in the drawn Test against New Zealand. Robinson apologized last Wednesday for his thoughtless and irresponsible tweets. Despite his apology, the England Cricket Board has gone ahead with his suspension from the highest level, showcasing its no-nonsense approach or strictness regarding the English cricketers' behavior, both on and off the field.

Robinson will not be available for the second Test and has to leave the England squad immediately

Ollie Robinson made his test debut in the first match of the series at Lord's. He picked up seven wickets in New Zealand's two innings and also scored 42 runs in England's first innings. According to the ECB, Ollie Robinson will not be available for the second Test against the New Zealand team, starting Thursday. Talking about the two Tests, the New Zealand cricket team will square off with England on June 10 for the series finale. The visitors will aim to end 1-0 up after missing out on their chances in the drawn first Test. England was 170-3 at stumps while in pursuit of 273 during the final day's proceedings.

Ollie Robinson's tweets have also brought shame to England cricket team as they have been fighting racism on social media themselves. Now, the English Cricket Board is reportedly looking to hire an external company to check the new players' social media accounts to avoid such issues in the future. Educational program on the ongoing problem is also on the board's agenda. After the tweets went viral on social media, the pacer issued a public apology. It has also been known that Robinson had also apologized to his fellow teammates in the dressing room. He regretted his actions while assuring the team that he has matured as a person. With Ollie Robinson out of the England Test squad, it would be interesting to see who comes in as his replacement for the next match.
