India defeated England by 49 runs in the second T20I match at Edgbaston of their ongoing series. The match witnessed a brilliant bowling performance by the Indian team to always keep England in control. However, India's batting performance was unsatisfactory. Only Ravindra Jadeja had little impact with the bat.

In the meantime, Edgbaston Stadium's official Twitter handle had a special message for the veteran Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. The Twitter handle posted the video of the Indian team getting off their team bus for the match at the venue. Virat was also seen in the video having a chat with Indian head coach Rahul Dravid as they entered the stadium. "Hello, India. A lot of love for Virat," read the caption of the video.

The former Indian captain's poor form continued in this match as well. His stay at the crease lasted only three balls, in which he scored just one run. Richard Gleeson, playing his debut game, got his wicket. He bowled a back-of-length delivery outside the off-stump which bounced a bit extra. It took the bat's outside edge before Dawid Malan sprinted to collect the catch.

As for the match, India kept losing wickets, but Ravindra Jadeja continued his form from the Test match. He scored 46 runs in 29 balls, with five fours in his innings. He helped India set a target of 171 for England to chase down. Gleeson took three wickets in the match, while Chris Jordan took four.

In the defence, Indian bowlers took regular wickets that never allowed the hosts to settle in. The batters were unable to build any significant partnerships throughout the match. Moeen Ali, with 35 runs in 21 balls, looked like the only threat to India.

They were eventually all-out for a team score of 121 runs, handing India a 49-run victory. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal took two apiece, and Hardik Pandya and Harshal Patel one each. With this win, India has won the series with one match remaining.
