On 10 December 2022, team India took on Bangladesh in Chattogram for the third and last match of the ongoing ODI series. However, Bangladesh already sealed the series by winning the previous two games. So, the Men in Blue were looking to avoid a clean sweep while the home side were hoping for a thrashing 3-0 series win over India. However, before this clash, India dealt with a major blow after Rohit Sharma got injured during the second match.

Even, they had injury issues related to Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Sen. After the second match, Rahul Dravid said: “We are struggling with a few injuries as well which is not ideal and not easy for us. I think Deepak (Chahar) and Rohit (Sharma) will certainly miss the next match. Kuldeep is also out of the series. Rohit will fly back to Bombay, consult with an expert to see how it is, and confirm whether he can come back for the Test series or not. It is too early to say anything but he will be out for the next match for sure.”

Ishan Kishan scored his first double-hundred off 126 balls in the third ODI

So, as expected, Rohit Sharma did not play the match and KL Rahul was the captain who came out for the toss. Litton Das won the toss and asked the Men in Blue to bat first. India made two changes in the playing XI as Ishan Kishan and Kuldeep Yadav got included. So, Ishan Kishan came out to open the innings with Shikhar Dhawan. However, it was another failure for Dhawan in the series as he got out for three runs off eight balls.

Then, Ishan Kishan started to build the inning with the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli. First, he scored 50 runs off 49 balls, including seven fours and one six. After that, he continued his brutal hitting and managed to score his first ODI ton off just 85 balls. Currently, India have scored 217 runs for one wicket in 28 overs. Ishan Kishan was batting 158* runs off 106 balls while Virat Kohli was there with 50* runs off 54 balls. After seeing such an innings from the young batter, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media platforms.  Then, Ishan Kishan completed his 200* runs off 126 balls in the third ODI.
