Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has not been in action with Team India since December 2022 after he sustained a horrific accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on his drive to his hometown, Haridwar. Later, he underwent complete surgery and medication under the supervision of the Indian Cricket Board’s official medical Team.

Recently, Pant also made it to the headlines of social media as he posted the latest video on his official X handle. In this video, he can be seen exercising on a bike. “Grip, Twist, Paddle, Good Vibes only,” read the caption of the video tweet posted by Rishabh Pant on his X account.

The 25-year-old made his last appearance for India in the Mirpur Test against Bangladesh from 22nd December to 25th December in 2022. Since then, he hasn’t played any game for India due to the multiple injuries after the accident.

Rishabh Pant expected to make comeback for India in the T20 World Cup 2024

Rishabh has been very crucial for Team India across all formats of the game; in his 6-year-long international career, the Delhi batter has played 33 Tests, 30 ODIs, and 66 T20Is, scoring 2271 Test runs with an average of 43.67, alongside 865 ODI runs and 987 T20I runs with the averages of 34.60 and 22.43, respectively.

He is also expected to be back in action in the Indian colours in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Meanwhile, the Indian team management is banking on the other wicketkeeper-batters to fill the void created due Rishabh Pant’s absence. Currently, The Men in Blue are all set to be in action in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, starting from Wednesday, 30th of August.

Rohit Sharma’s men will start their run in the tournament with their campaign opener against the arch-rivals, Pakistan. Both the Asian cricketing giants will lock horns in this match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, the 2nd of September.
