Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans locked horns in the 48^th match of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. The hosts’ skipper Sanju Samson won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first. Although his decision got backfired and RR got bundled up only on the score of 118 runs in 17.5 overs.

Later on, the Titans comfortably chased down the target and won the match by a massive margin of 9 wickets to keep their dominance in the points table of the tournament. Apart from that it was also the fourth loss for Rajasthan Royals in their last five matches in the current season.

Talking about the entire action of the match, the bowling attack of Gujarat Titans bundled up the Royals with only a score of 118 runs in 17.5 overs. Skipper Sanju Samson played a struggling knock of 30 runs off 20 balls with three boundaries and a six to his name. Other than him, none of the RR batters crossed the individual mark of 20+ runs.

Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed scalped three and two wickets respectively for the Gujarat Titans alongside one wicket each by Mohammed Shami, skipper Hardik Pandya, and Josh Little.

Later on, while chasing the target, the visitors didn’t seem in trouble at any stage of the run-chase; they comfortably crossed the line and scored 119 runs for the loss of one wicket in 13.5 overs to win the match by a massive margin of 9 wickets. Only dismissed batter Shubman Gill scored 36 runs with six boundaries.

Other than him, the senior opener Wriddhiman Saha and skipper Hardik Pandya played the unbeaten knocks of 41 and 39 runs respectively to take GT home only in the 14^th over of the game.
