If reports are to be believed, Shahid Afridi may pull out of the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League. The players are in a bio-secure bubble and Afridi is not comfortable staying in the bubble. The source close to the development stated that Afridi is also struggling with back issues and has some personal problems due to which he may pull out of the tournament.
"Shahid Afridi's children are alone at home... and due to these reasons he wants to pull out from the bio-secure bubble," said the source to Geo News.
Afridi was a part of the Multan Sultans squad last season but had to pull out of the tournament in between due to a back injury. He did not participate in the second leg of the season. Afridi is one of the stalwarts of International Cricket. He played a total of 27 Tests, 398 ODI's, and 99 T20Is in a career that lasted over 20 years.
He scored over 8000 runs in the ODIs and took 395 wickets as well. In his entire International career, he had over 11000 runs and more than 440 wickets. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Super League is set to begin on the 27th of January. Karachi Kings and the defending champions Multan Sultans will face off in the first match at the National Stadium, Karachi. The final will be played on the 27th of February in Lahore.
