With a successful beta test, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) 3.0 update is now available to download and play. The date and updated details were revealed by Indian BGMI pros Mortal and Viper during the update podcast.
What’s new in the update?
The 3.0 update is called “Shadow Blade” and features a short-range melee weapon that can be used against others in close-quarter combat. The sword offers a new play style, including the ability to deflect projectiles.
The sword is available in the Shadow Force Mode, which is one of the biggest highlights of the latest update. Players can explore Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok which are updated with new visuals.
Players will also have access to two new abilities. These are Shadow Scout and Ninja Hook. Shadow Scout can create clones that can fool the enemy team. Ninja Hook as the name suggests allows players to use a grappling hook to traversal.
Gameplay updates
With the new update, players can now recall fallen teammates twice. However, there is a twist. The second time a player is eliminated, they will not be recalled through the recall tower. Instead, they will have to fight their way back to the battlefield.
Players will be pitted against other fallen players in a match similar to Gulag in Call of Duty. The winner will get a chance to return to the battlefield. However, if the players fall again, it is game over for them.
Bolt action sniper rifles are getting some upgrades. The weapons will now be able to penetrate the target to hit others behind. This further adds to new gameplay styles and encourages more people to use them in long-range fights.
There are also many qualities of life improvements. These include the driver’s ability to heal while driving. Hot drops in Erangle like Military Base, Pochinki, and Georgopol will have an updated look.
