A father is someone every child looks up to no matter what stage of life. The world is presently celebrating Father's day and the cricketing fraternity is not behind. Many cricketers have taken to the internet to write heartfelt messages for their fathers. Former cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh, as well as game gurus like Harsha Bhogle, all have a message for their fathers.
The veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar posted a video remembering his father, Ramesh Tendulkar, where he spoke about his learnings from his father. In the same video, Sachin's mother revealed that their children were given complete freedom to choose their careers by their father.
Sachin's brother Ajit Tendulkar recalled how his father used to massage Sachin's feet after long days during his practice sessions. The veteran cricketer shared how he preserved his father's possession. He converted a cot from his father's childhood to a swing which is still in his house.
"Every child's first Hero is his father. I was no different. Even today, I remember what he taught me, his unconditional love & how he let me find my own path. Happy Father's Day everyone!" he wrote in the caption.
On the other hand, his former teammate Gautam Gambhir posted photos of him celebrating the occasion with his daughter. Harbhajan Singh also tweeted about his journey from learning from his father to becoming a parent to two children. "From being a son of a great father to being a father of 2 amazing children, it has been an amazing journey! To all the fathers out there, #HappyFathersDay! You are all superheroes," he wrote in his tweet.
Harsha Bhogle also took to Twitter to speak about his father. "Everything I did in life came out of what he wanted for me. The best French and Chemistry teacher I had. His gentle persuasion led me to the path I walked on. As pure an academic as any you could have," he wrote.
