Ex-Pak cricketer comes up with unique suggestion to counter Mitchell Starc threat in second ODI

Former Indian skipper and batting superstar, Virat Kohli impressed everyone with a stunning comeback with a Test century in the fourth and last of the four-match Test series against Australia. But later on, he couldn’t carries on the particular touch in the first ODI against the yellow outfits.

He got dismissed only on four by senior pacer Mitchell Starc in an LBW with a swinging beauty. Subsequently, Virat’s batting abilities on a swinging surface were under the scanner by a lot of fans and the experts of the game as well.

Meanwhile, the former Pakistan skipper Danish Kaneria has come up with a unique suggestion for the 34-year-old to cope with the threat of Mitchell Starc in the latter part of the series.

"Virat Kohli isn't comfortable"

"Virat Kohli isn't comfortable against left-arm pacers when the ball nips back. He will have to practice to face Mitchell Starc in the World Test Championship final. The team management should bring in left-arm pacers like T Natarajan as net bowlers," said Kaneria in a video on his YouTube Channel.

Later on, Kaneria also talked about the senior Indian batter KL Rahul who recently gained his form with a match-winning knock against Australia in the first of the three-match ODI series.

"KL Rahul has dealt a major setback. He was dropped from the Test team and he knows that he will have to deliver now and have to be very sensible. Dropping someone is never the solution. You need to fix the problems,” noted Kaneria.

"He looked very composed today and the Australian bowlers couldn't hit his pads as he was getting behind the line of the ball,” he added on the day when India defeated the Aussies in the first ODI.
